BVCP
The Bolnore Village Community Partnership (BVCP) was formed in 2013 as a charitable incorporated organisation. We have a hard working band of Trustees, who spend time working with Alastair McPherson (Centre Manager) to run the Woodside as a place the whole community can be proud of.
Alastair McPherson
Centre Manager
Alastair has lived in Bolnore for the past 18 years and is married with two teenage children. He was chair of Woodside Trustees and lead with the design and set up of the Woodside and Bolnore Village Community Partnership. Following a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry he has now moved into the charitable sector and is looking forward to welcoming residents from Bolnore and beyond to the Woodside, our amazing community venue.
Anne Boutrup
Trustee, Treasurer & MSDC Liaison
Anne lives in Ashenground, is a Town and District Councillor for that ward and is currently chairman of both the MSDC Scrutiny Committee for Customer Service & Service Delivery and the Ashenground & Heath Neighbourhood Policing Panel. Aside from her community work, Anne is also Director of Finance & Administration for a local IT company and advises on the upcoming General Data Protection Regulations. Anne brings experience volunteering for a number of small and large charities where she undertook roles including applying for grants, business case preparation & presentation, safeguarding & treasury.
Gemma Coombes
Trustee & Secretary
Gemma moved to Bolnore in 2005 and lives with her husband and two sons who attend the primary school. With a degree in English Literature, Gemma enjoyed a career in Advertising, before recently launching The Hub Kids Club which is based at the Woodside and provides before & after school child care in Bolnore. Part of the events team, Gemma has been involved in putting on many community events at the Woodside, such as the summer fete and family discos.
Bob Bannister
Trustee & Chair
Bob Bannister has been a Bolnore resident since 2012. Running a management training business out of a Haywards Heath office by day, Bob is the trustee representing Bolnore’s very own Church ‘Grace Church’. Grace’s resident bassman, grandfather, petrol head and (almost) empty nester, he’s doing his best to enjoy that push towards retirement (if it still exists), contributing however he can to all that happens at the Woodside.
Others BVCP members include Matt Jeffers (Trustee & Town Council Liaison), Samantha Larby (Trustee) and Charlie Smith (Trustee).
As a charity board, we meet six times per year and oversee the management of the building. Our AGM is in October every year and is open to the general public.
We also have a team of volunteers who help run events at the Woodside such as the Summer Fete every July, Halloween Family Disco and Christmas Carols. If you would like to become a volunteer, please contact Alastair McPherson, Centre Manager for more details.
